Eugene O'Neill "A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN" Salome Jens 1969 Boston Playbill

Description: This is a rare June 1969 playbill from the Post-Broadway engagement of the EUGENE O'NEILL play "A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN" at the Colonial Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The Off-Broadway revival opened June 12th, 1968 at the Circle in the Square Theatre in New York City and ran for 199 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred SALOME JENS, MITCHELL RYAN and STEFAN GIERASCH and featured JOHN TREMAINE and RICHARD McKENZIE ..... Side Note: A Moon for the Misbegotten had its official World Premiere on February 20th, 1947 at the Hartman Theatre in Columbus, Ohio. The Theatre Guild production went on to play engagements in Pittsburgh, Detroit, and St. Louis. However, the play would not to be seen on Broadway during O'Neill's lifetime. The Original Broadway production opened May 2nd, 1957 at the Bijou Theatre in New York City and ran for 68 performances .....
