Description: Condition: SEE IMAGES. Illustrated boards. No jacket (as issued). Ribbon marker present. This is in solid GOOD++ CONDITION. But for the noted flaws of sticker/code shadow peeling to the endsheets/papers, I'd grade this VERY GOOD. The binding is tight & square. Not cocked, not soft. Faint shelfwear. Corners/tips still sharp. The lower spine end is rubbed a little soft with a faint fray to the cloth, hardly visible. A HINT of sunning(?) to the spine, faint. The illustrated boards are still clear & crisp with a couple of faint scratches as well as what appears to be a sticker/code shadow to the upper left edge of the front board. There is no removal scar, no residue. SEE IMAGE. Internally, the illustrated front/rear pastedowns & endpapers show white from some peel scarring, possibly from removing a card pocket. The rear shows more than the front. This is 100 years old, and the pages/paper well preserved. FAIN yellowing to the very edge of some pages, MINOR. NO markings. NO tearing. NO soiling/staining. The text and illustrations are rich and vibrant. No fading. It is possible this was a well preserved and cared for x-library copy, although beyond the above mentioned flaws, this book does NOT present as an x-library. I will happily answer any further questions. Making offers: I certainly can appreciate wanting a better deal, and I've made offers myself on my own purchases. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success.
