Equisetum hyemale 'Robustum' Plant - Horsetail

Description: Equisetum hyemale 'Rubustum' Giant Scouring Rush A California native which forms spreading masses of green, tall, jointed, bamboo-like stems, making this a perfect plant for an accent in the garden. Naturally found in wet soils in coniferous forests, along streams and marshes. This attractive species has stem growing between 5' to 7' tall, with a spread up to 36" wide and beyond. Requires constantly wet soil, in full sun, in mild climates, and morning only or filtered sun, in hot climates. Bundles of the stems have been used for scouring and cleaning, hence its common name. May be grown in pots (standing in water, in saucers). Easy to grow. Very hardy - USDA Zones 4-9 In cold climates in winter, the stalks can take on orange coloration, making it even more attractive! Beware: this plant may have an invasive nature in mild climates. This offering is for one vigorous, well-rooted and established, cutting-grown plant in a 2 3/4" pot - very similar to what may be seen in the second photo. Shipped in pot. I have been growing rare and exotic plants for nearly 50 years, and take great pride in what I grow and ship. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - SORRY - I ONLY SHIP TO THE US.
