Description: Highly collectable and very hard to find early edition of this book in the every popular series. Complete with rare dustwrapper. Published by Methuen in 1953. Illustrated wonderfully by Stanley Lloyd. A great book for both Enid Blyton and pony book collectors, as there is a strong horsy sub-plot and lots of nice horse illustrations. BOOK CONDITION - REASONABLE DUSTWRAPPER CONDITION - FAIR Cream boards have a few fox marks and other small marks and some bumping. Spine has a lean and a crease. There are tape marks and remains of old sellotape on the front and back pastedowns. Hinge has a slight wobble but binding/pages still intact Name ink-stamped inside a few times. Pages have some tanning and some foxing, mainly on end papers. Dustwrapper is missing the front flap and has a piece missing on front and small chips from top and bottom of spine. Has some creasing and rubbing. Also there are tape marks/old tape repairs on the entire wrapper. The artwork however reamains clean and colourful. Great item for collectors!
