Description: Outstanding watercolor of the Vallee du Var and a view of the town of La Roquette in Provence, not far from the Cote-d'Azur in France by listed French artist Emile Appay (1876-1935). Appay studied with Harpignies and Joseph Lecomte and exhibited at Galerie Georges Petit and Galerie Pierre Le Chevallier in Paris. He also regularly exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais. This watercolor is signed lower right and titled lower left. It measures 11" x 14.25" and is in good condition (perhaps with minor fading of the colors). Framed as shown.
