Description: The_Authentic_Arrowhead_Store ELKO EARED LAKE CO OREGON This cool little ELKO EARED came out of a group we recently purchased that was collected in the 1940's out of Lake Co Oregon. Every piece in this collection is bifacially patinated and absolutely ancient. This one is made from a beautiful piece of Obsidian. It has a great form overall and no modern damage. Elko Eared points are Late Archaic to Developmental Phase, ranging from 1,200 to 3,500 years old. Obsidian with this kind of patination is what you want to see in a good western collection! However, it is also notoriously hard to photograph, so don't let the photos fool you! They do not do this point justice!Keep in mind, you are only buying the point seen on its own in the pictures, not the entire frame! The frame is shown for reference only! This frame will be pictured in the Authentic Arrowhead Store Online Artifact Museum for the foreseeable future. Size 1.25 inches in length.
