Description: Mechanical Bank Cast Iron Elephant Howdah Hubley Reproduction 1950's WORKING SEE VIDEO This is a 1950's replica of a Howdah Hubley Cast Iron Elephant Bank. The original ones were reproduced in the 1930's. How the mechanism works: Pull the trunk down and place a coin in the slot, then pull the tail to release the trunk and the coin is deposited into the elephant. Bank contents can be removed though a screw on the side of the elephants stomach. Nice vintage condition. Paint is in in relatively good condition. Some oxidation due to age. some paint chipping especially on tusks.
