The "Vintage Custom Series" focuses on the early specification changes that were turning points in Fender's long history. The "Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster NOS Faded Aged Sonic Blue" focuses on the specifications of the early 1959 when the traditional one-piece maple neck was changed to a rosewood fingerboard. The alder body, maple neck, and slab-laminated rosewood fingerboard are classic wood materials that produce a fat sound. The neck shape is "59 Esquire "C"", with a 7.25-9.5 inch compound radius fingerboard R and medium vintage frets. The hand-wound "HW 59 STRAT" pickups are mounted, which output a clear and fat sound. The pickguard is an 8-hole 3-ply, and the specifications are unique to the transitional period that only existed in the mid-1959s. The finish uses "Flash Coat Lacquer", which eliminates the buffing process and achieves a very thin coating. Although it is an NOS product, it creates an exquisite texture. Therefore, there are some unevenness in the painted surface and slight marks. The color is "Festa Red", which is one of the most popular custom colors. Combined with the texture of the flash coat lacquer, it is a very atmospheric guitar. Weight: Approximately 3.69 kg (without arm).
