Description: This set of four canopic jars is a beautiful addition to any collection. The jars are hand-painted with intricate designs and come with their original box. There is an impressed artist signature on the bodies of the jars of Veronese. As an art major in college I want to differentiate this is not the Renaissance Veronese!. The box also says they are hand-painted by Wu. In truth I think that Wu did a pretty nice job at hand painting these. I am guessing they were souvenirs sold at the big traveling Egyptian art shows, like the treasures of King Tut. I used them as a teacher and enjoyed them on my shelf for several years. In very good condition. 3.5” tall and I kept the original box. When i got these the insert was missing, if there was one. They do appear to be able to hold perhaps cosmetics or spices although their capacity is only about three thimble Fulls. They have never been filled with anything I think. Certainly not by me. I am selling several items, many holiday and vintage. I will combine shipping if practical.
