Description: Offered for your consideration is a very nice Edwardian Teapot by Philip Ashberry and Sons of Sheffield, England. This teapot is approx. 5" diameter x 6" tall, less handle and spout.The body is an elegant slight oval with stylish applied handle and spout. The lid handle is in a squash fruit and flower design.The handle is listed as being "nonconductive" as it has a segment of bone/ivory to minimize heat conduction. Material - Silver plate, as most were, over brass. Period - From the style and logo, this appears to be Edwardian, approx. 1910-20. Condition - Excellent, especially considering it is over 100 years old.The handle has a small dent and the body has a very small hard-to-see dimple on one side. Otherwise, there are no dents, scratches, or any other damage.The surface finish is very nice with no corrosion.The bone/ivory "handle insulator" piece is intact.
