Some of his works include Bram Stoker's Dracula, and War of the Worlds by H.G Wells. Later on, Gorey produced artwork and covers for many children's books. Many of his future works consisted of a rather ominous feel, and created quite a cult following. Most of his books are found in humor and surrealism art sections.In 1977, he received a Tony Award for Best Costume Design for the Broadway production of Dracula.
