Description: Here's a very beautiful early Brilliant era covered Butter Dish. The maker is unknown. The plate measures 8" in diameter and the cover is 5" in diameter and the overall height of the entire Butter Dish is 6" tall. It's not signed anywhere that I can find. Brilliant era covered Butter Dishes are not easy to find today. This one is a real beauty. For it's size it's quite heavy at 4 lbs. Black Light tested. The predominate pattern is Hobstar, and the other pattern is a kind of an X that has fine cut lines around the entire outside edges. The patterns match both pieces. The photos do not do justice. It's in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. On the faceted finial there is a very tiny nip on the point of one of facets. No other issues. Beautiful clarity. Any light or dark spots shown in the pictures are from camera glare. This will make a great addition to any collection. 4543R1740 Payment must be received within 3 business days.
