Description: Pictured is an uncommon blue & white spongeware lid. The "paw print" sponged-decorated lid has an embossed scroll design around the outside border. The lid is actually made & designed to fit upon both the butter crock & the salt container in this sponged pattern. It measures 5 5/8" in diameter and dates from 1895 - 1920. It's in excellent condition with no nicks, damage, or repairs.
