Description: Visit My eBay Store: House-O-Surplus Buy with confidence! We offer 30 day FREE returns on most of our items. Description: Buyer will receive the exact early American porcelain corn pattern creamer shown in the photographs. Made at Greenpoint in Brooklyn NY, circa 1850, probably at the William Boch & Brothers Co. (later called the Union Porcelain Works), or perhaps made at one of the two other factories operating in Greenpoint during the period 1844-1860 (Charles Cartlidge & Co. and The American Porcelain Manufacturing Co.). This is a very desirable smaller size version of the American corn pattern jug. Unsigned. Size: 4.5” tall (at handle) x 3-3/8” diameter foot Condition Report: Used. Excellent condition for its age, free of chips, cracks, and repairs. We inspected this piece underneath a UV black light and found no issues or repairs. It has gold gilt rubbing loss. It has some occasional small black inclusions fired into the porcelain body. It has a kiln shrinkage/recess around the circumference of the interior bottom surface, which corresponds with a feature of the molded relief surface around the outside surface (photographed). Over the years this recess on inside bottom has become dark colored, being filled in with soot/dust/grime. We cleaned most of it out. It could use a good cleaning. It is not a crack nor is it visible from the outside. Overall a beautiful piece of old American porcelain in a very hard to find smaller size. As always due to age may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing defects. Please view all photos as they are part of this condition report.
