Description: Pictured is a substantial redware sewer tile ashtray offered for sale. The ashtray is decorated with a large figural horned owl seated with its wings spread across its chest. The ashtray well is sizeable & could be used for cigarettes as well as large cigars. It measures 7" in overall height, the base measures 4 3/4" X 6". It dates from 1915 - 1935. The ashtray is in amazing condition with a very tiny sliver on the underside, see Pic, 11 o'clock. No other nicks, damage or repairs whatsoever. A great accessory item for the den, office, or for the naturalist in the family.....
