Description: First of all I want to say that a couple of the pictures make the piece looks slightly crooked. It is not it is a trick of the camera. It's a straight light. This is a White Manufacturing Company Very early 1900s Rush and Lang electric car side lamp. I believe this is for the left side of the car if you are facing it. I have looked at a lot of photographs of the lamps from 1909 up to about 1918 and this lamp looks to me to be from 1909 or maybe a year or two after that. It very likely could be from the 1909 Stanhope or the Brougham from the same year. The reason I think that is because after looking at many of the lamps on the later cars that were very similar to this one, the ones on those cars look as far as I can tell from the not so distinct photos like this lamp. The ones on the lead cars have a more ornate top but the ones on the 1909 cars have a flat top like this one has. As you can see in one of the pictures there is something missing from the bottom, I am assuming a little decorative knob. There is some damage to this light. The front door is bent slightly on the top left corner but that doesn't affect how it performs and it probably could be hammered out pretty easily. And there are a few dings to the metal but to be honest not very many and they're small. There's a lot of corrosion on this but probably at the age of 105 you'll have a lot of corrosion on you too. The hole in the back where I'm assuming it was attached somehow is kind of rough but I think it's in good enough shape that it could be used and what that thing on the right is I have no idea but it seems like it's in good condition. The insides are nice and shiny and smooth and the glass pieces of which there are two are in very good condition with no breaks or cracks and a couple of very minor scratches. They're really in beautiful condition and the little latch on the bottom works perfectly. If it's missing any parts I don't know it But I don't think it is. I'm not an expert but the light looks like it's in pretty good shape. It measures about a foot Long and would be just a little bit over there if it had a little knob on the bottom it is close to 7 inches widewith whatever that thing sticking out of the side is. Next to the white manufacturing company signature is a scratched in "H". I don't know if that means anything meaningful.
