Description: Up for bid is a letter from the Bain & Chapman Manufacturing Company of St. Louis, Missouri, to William J. Seitz, Jr., of Mount Carmel, Illinois. It is dated Feb. 10 and is regard to a shipment Bain & Chapman shipped to Seitz, who was mostlikely a Mt. Carmel grocer. I have another letter to Seitz, dated 1910, so I believe this letter is from the same period. Bain and Chapman was well-known for its Jack Frost Baking Powder. This letter is on company letterhead. It measures 8 1/4 by 10 3/4 inches and is in very good condition, with mailing folds. See my listings for other vintage items.
