Description: Offered for your consideration is a clear glass cracker or biscuit jar made by McKee and Brothers (1853-1899) in "Jubilee" pattern. Also known as "Hickman" or "LaClede", this pattern was introduced in 1897. The jar measures 4 inches (10.2 cm) tall to rim and 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter. The lid is 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter and approximately 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall. Combined, the cracker jar with lid measures slightly less than 7 inches (17.8 cm) tall to top of finial. This jar with lid is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, noticeable scratches, roughness, nor repairs. Cracker or biscuit jar is used so there may be faint surface scratches, minor wear, or other indications of use. See photos. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There are small bubbles within the glass, and there may be shear (straw) marks or other minor imperfections due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
