Description: Offered for your consideration is a clear glass high standard compote with lid made by the Indiana Glass Company (1904-2002) in their number 152 pattern. Also known as "Bethlehem Star", "Bright Star", "Six-Pointed Star", or "Star Burst", this pattern was introduced circa 1913. The compote measures 6.25 inches (15.9 cm) in diameter and 6 inches (15.2 cm) tall to rim. The lid is 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) tall. Combined, the compote with lid is approximately 10 inches (25.4 cm) tall to top of finial. This covered compote is in excellent used condition. There are no cracks, large chips, nor repairs. There is one small chip or rough spot on edge or rim, and there are light surface scratches. Compote is used so there may be additional indications of use. See photos. The glass is slightly dull but there is no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, shear (straw) marks, and other minor imperfections within the glass due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
