Description: Offered for your consideration is a clear glass open compote with gold trim made by George Duncan Sons and Company (1893-1900) in their pattern number 44. Also known as "Button Panel", this pattern was introduced in 1900. The compote measures 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) in diameter and 7 inches (17.8 cm) tall. This beautiful compote is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, noticeable scratches, roughness, nor repairs. Gold trim has light wear and is missing in places at top of scalloped rim. Item is used so there may be faint surface scratches or other indications of use. See photos. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, and other minor imperfections within the glass due to the manufacturing process used at the time.
