Description: DYNACO A-430 Output Transformer for 6550 or KT88 Tests fine, rare and heavy. This is from the early Dynaco days before they built amplifiers. They started by building and selling transformers. This particularmodel can be seen in Peri 50 and Electronic Industries (Audio Research) Dual 50 units presuming that you can find those rarities.The unit weighs over eleven pounds as shown. It measures almost 5" x 4.5" x 4" not counting the mounting lugs on the bottom.The cloth covered leads are in good shape. I tested the unit for static resistance in the primary, secondary, and ultralinear taps. All measures as it should. This is an old unitso I really can't offer any long term warranty but it will definitely not be DOA. It will work. In fact, if I had two of these I wouldn'tbe selling it at all. This is a great transformer and I'd love to build something using a pair of them. Only having one I can't do that. If you already have one of these or can find another you'll be having some fun. Building with these requires a good working knowledge of tube electronics. Be prudent and obtain the help you need. If however, you already know what to do, enjoy yourself!
