These spring clips are direct replacements for the Ducati OEM spring clips having the same locking feature to ensure that it won't fly off and risk the possibility of the rear axle nut coming loose. These spring clips are a critical maintenance item and should be checked regularly. The stock Ducati spring clips quickly corrode and can lose their spring qualities.
