Description: High quality JT 40 tooth steel rear sprocket with lightweight, hard anodised alloy quick change sprocket carrier The standard original Ducati rear sprocket for this bike is heavy, complicated to manufacture, and expensive. It is also awkward to change, as you have to remove it from the bike, then remove the cush drive rubbers from the sprocket and fit them into the new sprocket every time. The best solution to this problem is to upgrade the rear sprocket to one of these JT sprocket + carrier combinations. The JT sprocket carrier is made from very strong, lightweight 7075-T6 billet aluminium, which is then CNC machined and hard anodised for extra durability. The first time you fit the carrier, you have to swap the cush drive rubbers over from the original Ducati sprocket, but after that, all you have to do for future sprocket changes is unbolt and replace the outer sprocket ring whilst the carrier remains in place on the bike. This makes future sprocket changes quicker and also much cheaper, as all you have to replace is the outer sprocket ring.
