Description: This is a matted antique engraving, from an old issue of Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper, published in 1884. The prints in this series have text on the reverse, and are printed on rag paper, a material much more durable than the newspaper used today.TITLED: CONNECTICUT -- FIFTEENTH ANNUAL CLAMBAKE OF THE FATMEN'S ASSOCIATION AT DORLON POINT, AUGUST 27th (See pictures for smaller text) ARTIST: NOT IDENTIFIED CONDITION: EXCELLENT -- This print is clear, clean, and bright. No folds or tears. A really nice image. Excellent definition. Nice clean, sharp lines. Good margins.This engraving is about 145 years old and guaranteed to be original. It is an authentic old print from the aforementioned publication, and NOT A REPRODUCTION.The visible part of the print, including the white border (if any) is about 7 1/2" x 9 1/2". Matted the print measures 11" x 14". This is a standard size matte that will fit into a standard size frame. No custom framing required.
