Description: These are 2 Christmas specials of Dolly Parton. These rare "reviewer's" DVDs. They were only issued to members of the press. The DVDs are stamped with basic information and come in plain jewel cases. There are no colorful labels, inserts or packaging. The DVDs were not issued sealed. They are both in mint condition and have never been viewed. The 1st DVD is called "Home For Christmas" from 1990 (photos 1-5). This Christmas special ran in 1990 and runs about 40 minutes. The quality of the picture is not very good, but it's acceptable (sometimes the color fades in and out and turns black & white - but this only happens during the first 15 minutes). It's definitely not high definition. Although the quality of the video is better than the photos displayed on this page. If you can live with the picture not being perfect, this is a true gift for any Dolly Parton fan. "Dolly Parton: Christmas at Home." 'Home for Parton is the Smoky Mountains, where she grew up, and this hour features lots of pretty country scenery as Parton delivers strong, straightforward versions of chestnuts such as ''Jingle Bells,'' ''Joy to the World,'' and ''Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.'' Parton has always been a happy paradox-a campy figure of fun who at the same time seems utterly sincere and earnest. She's one of the few celebrities who can pull off an old-fashioned special like this without seeming condescending or ironic. The 2nd DVD is called "A Holly Dolly Christmas" from 2020 (photos 6 & 7).
