Description: In 1997, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of The Disney Gallery store above Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland's New Orleans Square, a series of frameable notecards (with accompanying blank envelope and "Disneyland" sealing sticker) were sold to the public. This is one of those cards. It depicts "Peoplemover Concept," a 1965 watercolor rendition by noted Disney Artist Herb Ryman of what the new People Mover ride might look like in Disneyland's "New Tomorrowland." Tomorrowland and the People Mover opened two years later in 1967. Herb Ryman is most well known for designing the look of the Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle in 1953 for Walt Disney when he was selling the concept of a family theme park to potential investors and banks.
