Especially here in the hot Florida sun, it made it more enjoyable for her to be able to get out.)We purchased it at Bed, Bath and Beyond on 8/14/2019. It was a special purchase since they didn't carry it in our store. It requires 2 AA batteries which we will include. It didn't originally come with batteries. The battery compartment is held on securely by a small screw. We never had a problem with it. You can tell when it needs new batteries - the blades just go slower and slower.It is being sold as is.
