I have five children, six grandchildren, one more on the way, and my husband that I have been married to for 26 years. We also have two family dogs to catch the crumbs. I grew up in the Mid-west, but have lived in Florida for several years. I couldnt wait to get out of the corn fields and be watching sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. When I was young, my Mother loved to cook just like I do now. I grew up eating amazing dinners. We grew up on a very modest income. The meals Im talking about werent fancy or necessarily "healthy" eating, but they were good ole, down home recipes, that melted in your mouth. Having my five children grow up and get married, they all started calling on me constantly for my recipes. After repeating myself over and over, I thought it easier to write them down so they can refer to them at their convenience, (well, for my own convenience).
