Description: This is a beautiful February 1977 programme (playbill) with a January 29th, 1977 ticket stub and signed letter from the General Manager of London's Theatre Royal, Drury Lane where the Original West End production of the MARVIN HAMLISCH, EDWARD KLEBAN, JAMES KIRKWOOD, NICHOLAS DANTE and MICHAEL BENNETT musical "A CHORUS LINE" was playing. (Originally part of the New York Shakespeare Festival season, the production opened April 15th, 1975 at the Off-Broadway Newman Theatre and quickly made plans to move to New York's Sam S. Shubert Theatre on July 25th, 1975 where it ran for 6,137 performances, becoming at the time, the longest-running production in Broadway history. "A Chorus Line" received twelve Tony Award nominations, winning nine Tony's as well as the 1976 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The London production opened July 22nd, 1976 and ran for 903 performances.) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of minor rust marks at the staples and on the left side of the cover of the playbill and creasing to the letter from having been folded into quarters, this rare set is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. These items will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
