Description: Diamond Edge No. 4 1/2 C (corrugated) heavy smoothing plane made for Shapleigh Hardware by Stanley. This plane is in great condition. Blade could be sharpened and used but I think this one is far better for display. This is basically a Stanley type 8 and there are much better types for use. Blade has plenty of length and a bold and very clear stamp. Tote is India rubber and in great shape. Knob is wood and looks good. Casting has plenty of japanning. Happy to combine shipping where possible.
