About Denis Paul Noyer Denis Paul Noyer is a French Postwar & Contemporary painter and lithographer who was born in 1940. He is known for his unique, illustrative style of painting. Son of famed artist Philippe Noyer, Denis showed an interest in drawing early on, a skill which his father helped foster. He went on to attend the Lycee Janson de Sailly and the Beaux Arts de Troyes, before studying under the very master who taught his father. Noyer has developed an instantly-recognizable, one-of-a-kind painting technique in which his characters are at both cartoon-like and yet exquisitely real. His approach is both realistic and naïve - his characters come to life through his expert use of color. Noyer creates simple yet glorious images of the lavish lifestyles of the rich and fabulous, captured in glamorous locations around the world.
