Deluxe Grand Piano Pinblock Jack Support Tool/Jig/Fixture

Description: Designed and built at Ragland Piano Company in Texarkana....Here is our improved version of the traditional pinblock jack used to support the pinblock and help prevent delamination of the block during the stringing process. This design is rugged enough to use all day, every day in the shop but still compact enough to take on a service call as needed. The biggest improvement is the hardware - beefy 3/4" rods, PTFE coated to reduce friction and massive tool grade wing nuts. What bothered me most about previous designs I've seen is the amount of time spent loosening or tightening the nuts - problem solved. The larger wing nuts provide excellent leverage... no need to use a wrench to turn a nut or a small wing nut. Top and bottom plates measure 11-1/2" x 5-1/2" and are made from Compreg - an extremely tough, resin infused wood product. We also provide an additional top plate that is narrower (only 3" wide) as experience has shown us that on some occasions the plate flange, stretcher or another obstacle prevented using the wider plate in the bass section - the included narrower plate solves this issue.
