Description: Please look at all TEN photos. This book was SIGNED in my presence by BOTH Di Rushing, the author, and by her husband, Sam Rushing, the vintner of Rushing Wines. They signed it in my presence at the 2024 Mississippi Book Festival in Jackson, the state capitol. There are not a lot of signed copies for sale online now, as the book is new, and most people will want to hold on to their copies. Copies signed by BOTH Rushings are VERY scarce. Sam was not expected to be at the festival and was not on the printed program. I just happened to show up at the right time while he was there!!! I have another copy that I will keep for myself. The story in this book took place where I grew up, in Bolivar County in the Mississippi Delta. It is the story of Rushing Winery, the first legal winery in the state since Prohibition. Di and Sam Rushing were a married couple with a huge dream they eventually reached. Sam was the vintner, and Di handled the books, the promotions, and the famous Team Room restaurant that brought in many curious locals who became cheerleaders of the wine made from muscadine grapes. In just a few short years the winery had won 8 national wine awards, and the business was growing. I don't want to give away the whole story, but the dark part of the winery's history involves an employee who turned out to be a violent criminal. Both the book and the DJ are in Like New condition and will be carefully packaged to insure safe shipping.
