Deep Purple Deepest Purple Very Best Of Japan P-10914W OBI Play Tested EX+

Description: Vinyl was play tested through Focal Elegia's and it played as EX+, I numerically scored the audio a 93 and this was a hard one to score. On the A-side there was a tiny bit of surface noise at the start of A2 along with what could have been a missed fleck of dust (not a outright pop or tick), another fleck on A3 and one on A6. Beyond that on A6 and A5 there was what sounded more noticeable, not an outright pop but more like a light tick/fleck. A5 (Child In Time ) beyond the more noticeable noise had three light flecks and played as a 91. B1-B4 played in the 96 range. B5 had two flecks, more like a 94 and B6 was a 92 relative to a trio of flecks. I'm really beating on this grading now but no kidding aside the overall play is fantastic. A visual inspection does reveal some light marks and this coupled with the play is driving the EX rating. The sleeve is scored as NM as well (perhaps NM- but again better than EX). There is light corner wear, a faint 9mm crease running up from the bottom seam along with super super light ring impressions at the 12 and 6 positions, you'll only see these at certain angles. The inserts show only super light wear. Based on this I am scoring the sleeve a 94. The sleeve is about as perfect as you'll find. Album will be mailed in a cardboard mailer between cardboard with bubble wrap. If you have any questions please let me know and thanks for looking!
