Description: DEC / Digital Equipment Corp TE16/TE10W/TE10N DECmagtape Transport User's Manual The TE16 DECmagtape Transport is an industry-compatible 9 or 7 track tape transport capable of reading on .5" magnetic tape at 1600 CPI (PE) and 800, 556 and 200 CPI (NRZI). Tape density and tape character format are program selectable. The TE16 transport may be used in many different formatter / processor configurations. When a Massbus peripheral is desired, the TE16 is outfitted with cable connector modules that interface directly to the TM02. The TE16 may be outfitted with an M8926 interface module converting the transport to a TE10W Master transport The TE10W is both electrically and software compatible with a TU10 Master tape transport. The TE10W family interfaces to the TM11, TMA11, TMB11 (UNIBUS) or TM8E (OMNIBUS) formatters.
