Description: In 2009, DC published an interesting experiment in comics: the company published twelve weekly "Wednesday Comics," each one a full-sized newspaper featuring twelve of their heroes in a one-page "strip" that ran for twelve weeks, essentially a twelve-page comic book story. The writers included Arcudi, Busiek, Azzarello, Simonson, Gaiman, Palmiotti, and others. Artists included Risso, Sook, Alred Conner, Kubert, and others. An impressive line-up of creators. The characters included each week were Batman, Kamandi, Hawkman, Deadman, Superman, Green Lantern, Metamorpho, Teen Titans, Strange Adventures, Supergirl, Metal Men, Wonder Woman, Sgt. Rock, the Flash, the Demon and Catwoman. Each newspaper, printed on much better than newsprint--meant to last paper--comes folded in fourths. The "four-fold"size is roughly the size of an unopened magazine; the fully opened "Wednesday Comics" page would be roughly the size of four magazines lain together. These have been read one time each and are as close to "like new" as 15-year-old publications can be. If you have questions or concerns, please ask first.
