Description: Davenport Gold Floral Scrollwork Tea Cup Coffee Cup & Saucer Trio Circa 1835-1840 Nice antique British bone china trio including tea cup, coffee cup and saucer similar to Daniel's First Bell shape. Decorated with gold gilt floral scrollwork and shell designs. Marked on the bottom Davenport Longport. A cup in the same form is pictured in Berthroud's Compendium of British Cups as circa 1835 to 1840. Pattern number 1063 on the base. Has some wear to the gilding, and a small approximately 3/8 inch hairline extending off the edge of the saucer. Otherwise good condition with no additional chips or cracks. The tea cup measures approximately 5 inches wide including the handle x 3 1/8 inches tall. The coffee cup measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 3 3/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 6 1/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece. JSBX
