Description: This is a beautiful hand carved folk art lamp by renowned Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec artist Paul-Emile Caron. These lamps, were particularly popular in the 50s and 60s Most of these lamps are done in light coloured wood but this one is dark. It depicts a habitant woman baking bread in her outdoor oven. On the opposite side is a rail fence. It is signed on the front. The shade is assembled from alternating slips of light and darker wood. The base is approx 9" wide x 8" deep and the overall height is about 23½" to the top of the finial. Excellent condition.Please contact us if you would like more pictures or information.
