Description: ORIGINAL VINTAGE IMAGE – Very large 11x14 inch cabinet card by Alex L. Pach, 220 North Third Street, Easton Pennsylvania. I confident this is the Lafayette College graduating class of new doctors in 1894. On the back in pencil is “C.S. Apgar.” This photo came from the estate of Charles S. Apgar Jr. who was a biologist and professor at Middletown College in Elizabethtown and was a well-known photographer for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. His father, Charles S. Apgar Sr. (1872-1943), graduated from Lafayette College in Easton in 1894. After graduation, Doctor Charles S. Apgar Sr. began working at the Richardson’s Home for the Incurables in Devon Pennsylvania. While the photographer’s name is not on the cabinet card because of the rubs along the bottom, the address is - 220 North Third Street, Easton. Therefore, this unusual cabinet card is by Alex L. Pach.Which person in the photo is Charles Apgar Sr? Not sure – I suspect the young man lower left with the glasses.
