Custom Opera Gown Women's 8 Green Velvet Shoulder Slugs Pearl Bodice Costume

Description: This is a one-of-a-kind, custom designed Opera dress. Worn by Alexsandra Nehra in several performances that she did for the San Fransisco Opera in the 1980's and 90's... including Bluebeards Castle and Il Trovatore. The dress was commissioned in 1984 by a local costume designer.~ The main dress features a stiff bodice with boning and a V hemline. Full length sleeves that also come a V. Removable shoulder slugs are wrapped in pearls and embroidered ribbon.~ The full skirt is attached to the bodice and is meant to trail. A black under skirt (separate) creates volume.~ The dress does show minor signs of wear at the hem of the bodice (photo 10) and a few stains on the skirt that are well hidden in the folds. (There were difficult to photograph and could possibly be removed with a professional cleaning.)This would be a fantastic dress for cosplay (Fiona from Shrek,) or Renaissance Festival (Ren Faire.)
