Made from the “light” section of black walnut, cut down about 100 years ago local to me in Michigan. Copper Band, CNC adjustable tone board. The style calls I make are hybrid double reed “Cajun/Lousiana” style timber calls, which have the sound and beauty of an old school wood duck call, but without the sticking issues of an all wood call. Nylon O rings won’t dry rot. These are hard to lock up the reeds, and are easy to blow calls.
