This cabinet was manufactured with hangers on the back and removable legs from its base to mount it on a wall. The legs can be detached by removing a screw from each. Your displayed treasures can rest on two removable shelves and the base of this curio. I purchased this new from a boutique in Carmel, CA in the mid 90's. It was manufactured in Taiwan.
