Credence/Stillwater Designs 12” SVC 4 Ohm Chrome Small Sealed Enclosure Subwoofers. These are mechanically identical to the Old School Kicker Solo Baric S12D Subwoofers. In fact they were built in the exact same factory, with the same parts, by the same people, to the exact same specs. Credence co-developed the Solo Baric subwoofer alongside Stillwater Designs in the early 90’s. Stillwater Designs began branding their subs as “Kickers”, and Kicker was born. Throughout their glorious years, when they were still “making” car audio products inside the United States, Kicker delegated the subwoofer manufacturing process itself to Credence Speaker Company. All of those badass old school round Solo Barics we all know and love were actually built by Credence at their speaker factory in Kentucky. Afterwards they were branded with Kicker logos and stickers and sold on a retail level. In the early 2000’s the US car audio golden era came to an end as all of our favorite companies of the previous two decades were bought out, consolidated, and relocated to China. This is when Kicker died in my opinion. Credence moved forward on their own, and made speakers and subwoofers up until 2014 when the original owner passed away and they shut down the factory. These are some of those post-Kicker subwoofers which Credence made. All the specs are the same as 4th Gen round Solo Baric S12D’s. 300-600 watts RMS power rating. Recommend sealed enclosure size of .88 cubic feet. You can go as small as .66 cubic feet as long as you feed them more power. These are basically unbranded brand new round Solo Barics without stickers, or magnet boots. They sound the same, they perform the same. They are both in perfect condition, and they hold a perfectly stable resistance reading of 3.9 ohms each. Good luck finding a brand new old school Solo Baric for less than $400 each. Since these are Single Voice Coil subs, I am selling them as a set. That way the end user has more than one wiring option. This is absolutely, positively the final set I will be selling. Hopefully I don’t regret doing so. There is a gentleman up in Canada with a handful of these very same subs for sale on Ebay. He’s a good guy, and a reliable seller. I have done business with him in the past. If you don’t want to deal with super slow international shipping times just buy these instead. But after these are gone, the ones up in Canada are probably the last remaining new old stock Credence S12D’s out there. *For historical sake, and so that you can verify everything I’ve laid out, I have included some screenshots from Credence’s now defunct website which I found on the waybackmachine.com.
