Description: For sale is an unmarked pottery mug for the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in a black glaze body and teal drip. The top of the 20-ounce oversized mug features a dip in teal glaze breaking in rich blues and sea-foam green; the drip runs and around and helps define the flared rim. The urn-shape mug has a single applied badge, 2 1/2" w, in a natural color embossed with an image of Hercules fighting the Hydra; the background has a black infill highlighting the fine details. The heavy mug weighs over a pound empty. This piece is in very good condition with no damage and gentle wear including some minor shelf wear on exterior. The mug is embossed on the bottom for the Edward M. Kennedy Institute but has no maker's mark.
