Description: 108. Cotswold Collections Brown Check Pure Wool Skirt. Little worn & in excellent condition Size UK14 This top-quality skirt is made in Scotland from pure wool and is fully lined with anti-static polyester. The wool fabric is thick and soft. The pattern is of black & warm brown houndstooth check on a beige background. It is pleated, the pleats being approximately 3cm (1+1/4in) across and stitched down for the first 14cm (5+1/2in) below the waistband, so that the skirt is not bulky over the hips. The waistband is approx. 3cm (1+1/4in) deep and has an elasticated section on each side for ease of fit. It is fastened with a freely-sliding 18cm (7in) concealed zip, with a 15mm (5/8in) mother-of-pearl button at the top. The label says size UK14 etc., but since labels can vary in what they refer to, please check your measurements to decide for yourself. Some measurements which may help (approximate, but as good as I can manage & please see photos, too): Skirt length from approx. waist area to hem = 66cm/26in Across unstretched waist area = 41cm/16in Across hip area = 53cm/21in So I suggest it would fit: Max waist about 82cm/32in. Max hips about 106cm/42in. This fine quality of skirt hard to find these days & was usually £50 - £100 to buy new when I spotted one in a catalogue. This should be great value, hopefully, at £20 for a classic style of skirt that will keep the wearer warm in cold weather Small Parcel P&P.
