Solido Panther PzKpfw V Tank comes with 2 radio antennas inside box. Panther G PzKpfw V Tank is a heavy die-cast metal vehicle weighing by itself 13 ounces, with plastic wheels and 2 plastic tank trends. Its turret rotates 360 degrees and cannon elevates holds its position and lowers. It is painted with camouflage patches of dark chocolate brown. Panzer V was produced in three models - A, D, and G, this listing is Model A. 1943 very limited numbers of new Panther were sent to Italian theater painted in basic factory color. Units were instructed to apply camouflage patterns of stripes and patches of dark olive green and dark chocolate brown. Included in Corgi box is Panther Tank A booklet describing it and a limited-edition numbered certificate. Made in China. Panther PzKpfw V is a German medium tank of World War II used on Eastern and Western Fronts from mid-1943 to end of war in May 1945. Panzer V, or Panther, was produced in three main models - A, D, and G. In contemporary English-language reports it is sometimes referred to as "Mark V." Panther that mounted 75 mm cannon was intended to counter Soviet T-34 medium tank and to replace German Panzers III and IV. Nonetheless, it served alongside Panzer IV and heavier Tiger I until end of war. Panther was a compromise. While having essentially same engine as Tiger I, it had better gun penetration, was lighter and faster, and could traverse rough terrain better than Tiger I. Panther had very thick front armor and sloping front plates, which protected it well in head-on assaults. However, trade-off was weaker side armor, which made it vulnerable to flanking fire and a weaker high explosive shell. Panther proved to be effective in open country and long-range engagements. Panther was far cheaper to produce than Tiger I. Key elements of Panther design, such as its armor, transmission, and final drive, were simplifications made to improve production rates and address raw material shortages. Panther was rushed into combat for Battle of Kursh during July 5 - August 23, 1943. About 6,000 Panther tanks were built.
