Description: This is an Estate Fresh old Gouache or Tempera on Paper Chinese Folk Art paintings of a Cotton Mill Chinese Cotton Processing scene with Red Chili Ristra's drying in the upper corner. The setting shows many split bamboo racks loaded with fresh cleaned or washed cotton drying and being loaded into baskets and then up on to 2 Horse or Mule drawn Carts. Its amazingly colorful and not the first one of these pieces of Folk Art I have seen. The colors and texture are fantastic and its just not something you see every day. The piece is finish framed at 26.5"x36" long, so its a big piece! I saved the signature off a similar painting for my own reference and I am glad I did as this piece is not signed though I am sure its by the same artist, the work is near identical in sytle and colors though much smaller. I have added that photo just as information on the artist though I have no idea what the writing says, any input is welcome.
