This scanner sat in storage for some time... We took in this scanner and turned it on and it communicated properly with a computer. The scanner displays that it requires calibration, and the calibration sheet has not been provided. The replacement cost for a new calibration sheet is $354.85 (we can still purchase & resell new calibration sheets). Additionally, the scanner operating software has also not been provided (we are authorized to sell the software too). Cosmetically, the outside of the equipment does show its age, but the Contex scanners are very well built, consistently stable, and the quality of scans are clean & crisp. This unit scans great quality monochrome images fast too. This scanner has been deemed "end of life" by the manufacturer and so new non-consumable parts are no longer available. These scanners were sold new for approximately $10,900!
