This series of PUCK cartoons are clever, beautifully illustrated and provide an historical picture of the state of politics in 1886. TAYLOR, signed in plate CONDITION: EXCELLENT / VERY GOOD — Clear, clean, colorful and bright; no creasing, tears or folds (other than the centerfold), and very good margins, perfect for framing. A really beautiful image. Nice dark lines and definition. (Note: There are a few small binding holes in the centerfold. Also, two small edge tears, easily repaired.Otherwise fine. Binding holes are quite common for these prints, given they were almost always collected and stored in large books.) This print is about 135 years old and guaranteed to be original. It’s an authentic old chromolithograph from the aforementioned publication, and not a modern reproduction. The print is 13" x 20 1/2" with nice large margins.
