Description: EXTREMELY RARE COMPLETE DECK OF Pre -1930's Ferdinand Piatnik & Sohne Tarock Cards! The theme of this deck is "Industrie Und Gluck" or Rural Scenes. Each card features incredible chromolithograph printing of highly decorated suits of cards. This is not a tradition card deck or game but rules for the game still do exist online for anyone who would like to learn to play with this gorgeous set of cards. "Tarok" or "Tarock", appeared around 1750. Now mainly produced in Austria, the four suited pack with court cards (King, Queen, Cavalier, and Page) and the numeral cards reduced so that the pack contains a total of 54 cards instead of the full 78 cards.The Trumps feature rural scenes and costumes from different regions showing a different scene at each end. These romantic cards would be incredible framed or under a piece of glass on a card table. Each card measure about 4 3/4" by 2 3/4".
